As parents everywhere scramble to balance work, homeschool, and any semblance of normalcy, celebrities from every realm are chipping in to help out. Especially with story time.

Which we all know is beyond important and super beneficial, but…can also slip through the cracks of a busy and crazy new lifestyle.

I’m thrilled to share some of my favorite children’s books and give kids an opportunity to practice their reading (while giving families a much-needed break!). Join me, @pbskids, and @penguinrandomhouse for read-alongs on Mondays at 12pm ET on @pbskids Facebook and YouTube!

Thankfully, even the likes of Michelle Obama is ready to do her part for our babies by bringing them story time every at noon (EST) every Monday.

And while he may be a little biased, Barack himself professes that she’s the best in the biz.

Parents, you deserve a break – Michelle’s got storytime handled every Monday. She’s one of the best, I promise. (And I confess it makes me a little nostalgic.) https://t.co/Pmz8kRNMBC

Catch Michelle in action on the PBS Kids YouTube channel or Instagram page (or even on the former First Lady’s Insta!) each week for a new book for the kids and a bit of a breather for you.

As a young parent, I found so much joy in rediscovering my favorite children’s books with my daughters. The time I spent reading with them, creating voices for our favorite characters and beaming with pride as they started to recognize words and read along, is something we all still cherish to this day. As First Lady, I had the privilege of sharing my love of stories with children everywhere, and today, I’m excited to pick that back up with “The Gruffalo”—my first read-along in what will be a four-week series with @PBSKids and @PenguinRandomHouse. I hope you’ll tune in today with your family at 12pm ET on PBS Kids’s YouTube channel or Facebook page!
