Spring Break in Vegas, yes it’s Easter time!

Spring break in Vegas, yes it’s Easter time! Already?!

Clearly, this year is flying by and my goals are slowly but surely coming along. Now that my sweet Little Man is a bit older, we have made some fun plans for spring break this year.

First stop will be the new Discovery Children’s Museum at the gorgeous Smith Center for Performing Arts. From science rooms to Toddler Town, I think we had better plan for a whole day!  I’m hoping we can throw in some window shopping time at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets, North that are literally across the street from the Performing Arts Center. Just a walk through Coach or DKNY is enough to make a girl feel fresh and new!

Next stop will be a visit to the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor…I cannot WAIT to do this! We love all things Titanic and have  watched nearly all the documentaries and expeditions. This year is 101 years later! I hear they even have an unopened bottle of champagne with a 1900 vintage! From the White Star china to the Louis Vuitton luggage and most especially learning about the passengers’ personal stories, what an experience!

With all this spring break activity, we will definitely be in need of a delicious treat. I have just the perfect place! Showboy Bakeshop opened up just a few weeks ago and is located at 2591 Anthem Village Dr, Henderson, Nevada. Stephen (pictured below on opening day!) originates from London, England, where his passion for theatre all began! After being inspired by the big budget musicals of the 90’s, he began training in musical theatre at the claimed Italia Conti Academy, that produced such greats as Gertrude Lawrence, Laurence Olivier and current icon Julienne Hough, and furthered his training at The London Studio Centre. From here, he went on to perform across the globe with the elite cruise line Crystal Cruises for two years, before landing in Vegas. Performing with shows such as Les Folies Bergere, Show in the Sky, Tony n Tina’s Wedding, and working with Vegas legend Frank Marino in DIVAS Las Vegas, Stephen honed is craft in cake decorating by brining lavish treats to all his cast parties! From there, performers from shows all over the strip began to place orders and word spread fast that his delicious treats were the way to go when ordering for your Showbiz parties, so much so, that he was contacted by Elton John to supply the cake for the 50th birthday bash for David Furnish! With cake orders for the likes of Drew Carey, Gladys Knight, Angel Porrino, Heather McDonald,  Human Nature, Don Cheadle, the Hiltons and MUSE, Stephen decided to partner up with Jared Sullivan and open SHOWBOY BakeShop. I bought my son and husband the “Bombshell” and the “Diva” cupcakes and they are haven’t stopped talking about them!

They did my birthday cake and it was AMAZING! SEE?! The glitter microphone was off-the-charts adorable, edible sheet music and yes the cake tasted positively devine.

Well, it’s time to do some recipe planning myself! This Friday is the Spring Break party at school, and my assignment is deviled eggs. Here’s what I made for our family Easter celebration last year…and they’ve been requested again!

I hope you have a spectacular Spring Break, filled with fun and love and lots of family time!
