Discovery Cove is right here in Orlando and is AMAZING!

I actually had the opportunity to go a few months ago with my mom for a media trip and I just realized I hadn’t told you guys about it yet!

There are a few things that people ask me immediately when I tell them about Discovery Cove:

  1. Do you really get to swim with dolphins?
  2. Is it absolutely amazing?
  3. Isn’t it really expensive?  I don’t think I could ever afford it

Here are my answers each time:

  1. Um….YES, you can definitely select that package
  2. Um…YES
  3. Where else can you go where EVERYTHING you could  possibly want ALL DAY LONG is included.  I am not joking folks.  You get breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, adult drinks, slushes (my kids love those!), a snorkel, wet suits if you want one, life vests, use of goggles (you do have to recycle those on your way out), and more!  Oh, and the food is fabulous!  I am talking about fresh fruit, yogurt, salads, pies, and our lunch was salmon!

The thing that you can’t put a price tag on is the experience.  I don’t know how else to say it than, It IS Paradise.  From the moment you walk in you are surrounded by lush greens, helpful staff, smiling faces, the softest and whitest sand I have ever seen, comfortable lounge chairs, and….the water and animals of course.

Head to the Grand Reef and snorkel with THOUSANDS of fish and rays.  My mom and I went around it twice because there is no way you can see everything in just one swim. And be sure to check out the sharks! Don’t worry though, they are behind a really thick glass wall!

We loved the Wind Away River. It wraps around in a big circle, and you can get out at different spots through the park…including the aviary! The water is warm and the scenery is absolutely breath-taking. Just relax and enjoy paradise!

The aviary is a MUST SEE. We spent a ton of time in there checking out the birds, feeding them, and letting them hang out on us.

Don’t forget to check out the playful otters and the marmosets. They are always being silly and are sure to make you smile.

Now, for my favorite part. The dolphins. I know I mentioned I went with my mom. Well, she is 60ish and this has been a dream of hers for as long as I can remember. She actually flew in from Michigan to be able to go with me. And I am not joking when I say, she cried through her whole swim with Akia…our dolphin. It was such a moving experience for her…for ME, for ME to be with her. It was amazing. It is truly an experience that neither of us will ever forget.

So, if you are looking for an experience that you and your family will be talking about for YEARS to come, be sure to check out Discovery Cove. Discover paradise. Lucky for us, it’s right in our backyard too!

Check out Discovery Cove Orlando

I also wanted to let you guys know that once you have finished your day at Discovery Cove, the experience doesn’t stop.

What?!

Yep, you also get UNLIMITED admission to SeaWorld® and Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark™ in Orlando for 14 consecutive days around the date of your reservation. How amazing is that? So, to answer the question… Is Discovery Cove too expensive for you and your family to go to?

No, it’s not. You will eat, relax, and Discover Paradise for one full day, then for another 14 days you can let the fun continue. I think it’s worth every penny. And I think you will too!

Make sure to follow Discovery Cove on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with everything in Paradise!

Actually, I would love it if you checked out Having Fun Saving for more Florida Family Fun and follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google + and Instagram too!

Disclosure: My mom are I were able to Discover Paradise at Discovery Cove free of charge. Our excited opinions, tears of joy, and non-stop smiles are 100% our own. No other compensation was received.
