Fun & Healthy Halloween Food
Yummy, sugary treats are always delish, but for my little ones I am always on the lookout for healthy snacks that will fortify them and distract them from all the junk that they inevitably get in their treat bags.
It has become a sort of tradition that I make a three bean veggie chili for dinner on Halloween night before trick-or-treating. I found the recipe in Cooking Light years ago and it is full of vegetables, beans, and warm, comforting flavors. I love one-pot meals and this one does the trick. My kids love it with lots of cornbread on the side.
This year, though, I’d like to add some new tasty treats to the table. Here are some ideas that inspired me:
