UMOM Walk for Homeless Families at the Phoenix Zoo
Enjoy the fall weather, visit the Phoenix Zoo, and support the homeless by participating in the 4th Annual UMOM Walk for Homeless Families on September 29, 2012. This event is presented by the UMOM Women’s Auxiliary, a group of volunteers who have generously donated thousands of hours of service and raised thousands of dollars to help homeless children and families. What: 1K and 5K Walk for Homeless Families

Where: Phoenix Zoo, 455 North Galvin Parkway, Phoenix 85008
Cost: $25 for children and students, $30 for adults
Why: To raise money and awareness for homeless families and individuals
Registration includes admission to the Phoenix Zoo and event T-shirt.
Children 3 and younger are free but do not receive a T-shirt.

About UMOM New Day Centers
Since 1964 UMOM New Day Centers has been helping Phoenix homeless families by providing food, clothing and shelter and giving them the tools needed to become self-sufficient. UMOM’s programs and support services include: assistance for Veterans and their families; licensed, accredited childcare for UMOM residents 6 weeks to 5 years and before and after school care for school-aged children; emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence; medical care for residents aged 24 and younger plus a Wellness Education Program open to all; help finding permanent and affordable housing when exiting the shelter.
