Alvin And The Chipmunks : Chipwrecked movie is out in theaters this Friday, December 16th!
In an interview with director Mike Mitchell, he stated that "When parents and kids laugh together, that's magic to me."
Well, Mike I'm pretty sure you created magic with Alvin And The Chipmunks : Chipwrecked. From the crazy mischief that Alvin always seems to get himself into to the reference to things like Lee press on nails, I do believe there's laughs for every age group.
I would have to agree with Jason Lee, also known as Dave Seville, that Chipwrecked is the best chipmunk film to date. The progression of the relationship between Dave and the chipmunks is quite touching. They've gone from annoying little animals in the first movie to his beloved kids in Chipwrecked, kids that he cares deeply about and would do anything for. I think all parents who see this film will be able to relate to Dave's parenting frustrations but also his love for his kids that trumps any frustration that can come our way. (Anyone ever worn a pasta necklace for an entire day??)
"Through all the fun and typical ALVINNNN!!! ness, I love how Alvin and the Chipmunks : Chipwrecked challenges young and old alike to look beyond the surface of a person to really see the depth of their character. It's so refreshing to see a movie where love between parent and child, or in this case chipmunk, is beautifully displayed despite the many parenting frustrations that can arise. If you're looking for fun with a great message, look no further than Chipwrecked!"
I was quite surprised to see a bit of depth in this film. I was prepared for a fun movie that made me laugh at Alvin's mischievousness. I was NOT prepared to see a depth that speaks a great message to kids. There's much more to a person than the labels that are so often put on them. Maybe you're always pegged as the "fun one" but that doesn't mean you can't also be the "responsible one."
Alvin And The Chipmunks : Chipwrecked happens to be the ONLY G rated movie out this holiday season and I have to say that it's definitely worth a gander to the movie theater to see it. I happened to see it twice in 9 days (first at the press junket in L.A. and second at a screening in Dallas). The second time I had my kids with me. They LOVED it! ...
