8 Things to Watch on NetFlix Before January 1st

LOTS of films are being retired from NetFlix on January 1st. Here’s our list of top pics to binge watch before we roll over into 2014!

With the Kids

• October Sky (PG) – There is a little bit of language but I think this show is fantastic for school aged kids. I stayed up one night with my 4th and 5th grader and we all loved this movie. It’s also a true story which makes it even cooler. 
• Alice in Wonderland (G) – It’s always good. (This one expires on January 4th, 2014)
• The Secret of Nimh (G) – It still scares me.

After The Kids Have Gone to Bed

• Can’t Hardly Wait (PG -13) – Seriously reminds me of college. The soundtrack, the actors, the whole show is like a great mix of an 80’s movie plot with late 90’s music and fashion. We smiled the whole time. 
• Saturday Night Live The 2000’s – You never need a reason to watch old SNL skits, always good in a pinch.
• As Good as It Gets (PG – 13)- This is on my watchlist. I’ve heard it’s hilarious, but I’ve never seen it.
• Top Gun (PG) – Because Maverick, Goose, and Iceman are always classic. Even though this is PG I’m still putting this in the after hours category for the “Take My Breath Away” scene.
• Titanic (PG-13) – Also known as “The Boat Show”. Did the Wolf of Wall Street cause a longing in your heart for Leo’s sweeter days? Cue this flick up now!
