The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has created the Extra Life gaming marathon, honoring 15-year-old Victoria Enmon—a gamer who passed away from leukemia.
Extra Life participants play any game they choose (phone, computer, game system, or the good old fashioned board variety) starting at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2011. The marathon lasts 24-hours and money is raised by recruiting sponsors to give a minimum of $1 for each hour of the marathon. Each donation stays in the community where it was given to benefit the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. You can sign up to participate and donate at www.extra-life.org.
Our friends at Xbox 360 are big supporters of Extra Life and held a star-studded event—Gaming and Giving for Good (G3 for short)—on Saturday, October 1 to benefit Extra Life. G3 had 9,600 participants and you can see a recap video and interview with Eva Longoria from the G3 Giving Lounge in LA. You can also see photos of participating celebrities on the Xbox Facebook page.
