I’ve got a great place for you to add to your summer bucket list.

My boys and I had the pleasure of checking out Lynnwood’s The Root Beer Store a few months ago.  They also have two other locations in Redmond and Puyallup.  What is The Root Beer Store you ask?  Well, it’s exactly that…the place for root beer lovers, offering 117 root beer varieties and 300 soda varieties.

And since both of my boys are root beer lovers…it was a no brainer.  Walls of every kind of frothy beverages, unique and nostalgic sodas.

Grab an empty six pack container and mix it up with your favorite brands and flavors…most brands are caffeine-free and run $1.83 a bottle.

Yes…everything from peanut butter and jelly to ginger and cucumber beer…if they make it, it’s probably here.  And they sell root beer everything, candy, popcorn,  syrups, and apparel.  Next time around, we are going to try the $25 starter kits; they make four liters of root beer.

The big draw…having an extra-special root beer float.  They have three root beers on tap or you can choose any bottled flavor.  Served with a waffle cookie, striped straw and a smile, it was the best part of our day.

Be sure and check out their free root beer taste testing on the first Saturday of each month, open to close.

Around and Around...

When was the last time you opened your mailbox and found something fun in there from a friend? Gone are the days of notes on pretty stationary, or an envelope full of photos - they’ve been replaced with blogs and friendship chain emails threatening years of bad luck if you don’t forward it on!
