I’m always happy to see my husband after a long day of work, and what a surprise to see him holding three boxes of chocolates today! All for me? Why, thank you!

Let’s just say he knows there’s no wrong time or place for chocolate. To reciprocate his sweetness, I’m dreaming of our favorite chocolate dessert recipes. With only 365 days in a year, why shouldn’t we eat a little bit of chocolate every day? It’s healthy, right? Here are 11 reasons to get started –

Hello Dolly Bar Recipe

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 1/2 cups sweetened coconut flakes
1/2 cup chopped pecan bits
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add graham cracker crumbs and blend together. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle chips over crust, then sprinkle coconut and pecans. Drizzle entire pan with sweetened condensed milk. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until coconut is toasted and the milk has started to bubble slightly.

Allow to cool completely before cutting. (This the the HARDEST part). Makes approx. 3 dozen cookies
