The Perfect Sugar Cookies
Every Valentines, Halloween or Christmas I find myself making these delicious sugar cookies and frosting them with homemade buttercream and sprinkles! They aren’t overly sweet so they pair perfectly with a rich frosting. I hope you love them as much as we do!
Jacklyn’s Sugar Cookies
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
5 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
Cream the butter and sugar, adding the eggs one at a time. Add the remaining ingredients until well blended. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refridgerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight). Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes (depending on thickness). Makes 4 dozen small cookies.
