I've been trying for the perfect faschingskrapfen recipe for years. Maybe it's just the years of nostalgia adding up, but these yeasty, warm, jam-filled donuts are the perfect way to keep your February cozy. In northern Germany people call these berliners, but in southern Germany and Austria, they're faschingskrapfen, or carnival donuts. No matter what you call them, imagine how pleased your kids will be when you make a batch together!
