
I’m a lucky lady. Every night when I arrive home from work, I am greeted by two kids that are pretty darn happy to see me (a husband that is equally happy) and some sort of delicious dinner…piping hot and ready to eat.
I know.
I don’t know how he does it either.
When I was at home with the kids, I whipped up dinner 3 or 4 nights a week.
Maybe.
The rest of the time it was sandwiches, salads, and leftovers. But my husband is a dinner ninja and I’m impressed and well fed.
I’m also getting a little rusty in the kitchen.
So I’ve decided to stake my claim on weekend cooking…starting with Sunday breakfast.
This weekend I’m going to make a big splash with this Buttermilk Blueberry Cake from Alexandra’s Kitchen.

Because coffee, cake, and happy kids is pretty much weekend nirvana.
