In the last few years we’ve seen a lot from Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Captain America, a different Batman, a LEGO Batman, Batman’s son, and probably one about Batman’s cousins. Is it just me, or is this superhero list missing something? Come on, where my girls at?
It’s about time we saw a girl superhero on the big screen, and the wait is almost over! On June 2, Wonder Woman comes to the big screen. I’m not going to lie, I watch the superhero movies, but I’m not one to get jazzed about them. This one, on the other hand, is different. I’ve already made plans with my lady crew to go see it, and after watching this trailer, I’m more excited than ever!
I love that this film portrays a strong girl who grows up to be a strong woman who makes a difference for good. It’s a scene we don’t see played out often enough, but one that’s good for girls young and old to see. I’m excited to see Gal Gadot step into this role.
I can’t say I knew a lot about Wonder Woman before now, but apparently before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
You can also show everyone your warrior with the Wonder Woman gauntlet creator. I was going for a “tough warrior” face, but I think I only succeeded in achieving a “somewhat constipated” face. It was fun to create though.
