It happens every year in September…you’re minding your own business, sweating your guts out and BAM…it’s 60 degrees and raining!
I found myself at the grocery store as the temps started to dip and was tempted by each and EVERY pumpkin and apple-spiced item on those shelves but I resisted and instead bought a can of pureed pumpkin that I have big plans to use it for the Pumpkin Monkey Bread from Thirty Handmade Days (link below.)
That (plus a text string started by Carina exclaiming her excitement for cooler temps so she could make Chicken and Dumplings) got me to thinking about ALLLLLLL the great fall food recipes that are floating out there.
My goal is to get all of these on my menu plan between now and Thanksgiving…because on Black Friday, peppermint rains from the sky, DUH.
