Starting in my town of Rocky Point, today’s interview is with Marie, the owner of Brooklyn Bagels and Cafe. If you’re headed for a day trip out to anywhere on the North Fork, on the way to the vineyards or the beaches, or even to Splish Splash, you can grab a nice breakfast or lunch at Brooklyn Bagels on the way. It’s located in Rocky Point in the KFC shopping center on Rt. 25A , a little bit before the fork for the business district. And, as you will read below they are very actively involved in the community, which is wonderful!

Oh we have so many different events through out the year.
- In October from the first year we opened we have a costume contest. In 2012 we collaborated with the RPFD and RPTA and hosted a safe Halloween event.
- November we set up a food bin for local food pantries.
- December we “Adopt a Family” from St.Louis DeMontfort Church. We get a families wish list and ask friends, families and customers help make them have a special holiday.
- In the spring we host a Egg Hunt. We stuff some where around 4000 plastic eggs with candy and hide them all through out the park. The last few years were held at the Robert Miner park on Hallock Landing Road.
