Rosemeade Rainforest: Great pool for kids!
We were lucky enough to be invited to a birthday party there last month. It is part of the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complexand is just a few minutes north of the George Bush Turnpike in Carrollton, Texas. This was a good half hour drive for my crew, but it was worth it. The Rosemeade Rainforest section features a zero-depth entry pool with two platform levels with bridge, water cannons, bubblers, spray bars, and water slides. There is also a 200 foot lazy river and a 600 gallon dump bucket. The best part of this section is that it is closed off from the main pool area by a gated fence. This means it is easy to keep an eye on multiple small children so that they don’t wander into deeper water. There isn’t anywhere that the water gets deeper in the Rosemeade Rainforest area. The play area is separated from the lazy river so that you actually have to get out of the water to move to the lazy river. The slides in this area do not empty into a pool but into a shallow straight area at the base of the slide. If you have non-swimmers or swimmers that you are not quite confident in, you can let them play and romp in this area with no worries!
We did not go into the main pool area at the birthday party. The Main Pool section has a 50 meter Olympic size pool with a 25 meter short course, a training pool and a separate diving well. There is also a 22 foot structure with two flume slide. The facility also has a bathhouse, concession area, deck space, picnic tables, lounge chairs and shaded areas. There is also plenty of free parking.
