It is also a place to go to have a fun time with your family. I found out about Chick-Fil-A family nights by signing up for the Chick-Fil-A newsletter. Sometimes they send introductions to new products, coupons, or tell you when the next event will be.
I live in Wylie, and the Chick-Fil-A near my house has started having these family nights periodically throughout the month. I love this idea because it gets families talking and playing together.
Last Wednesday was board game night. You could come in, grab one of their games, eat dinner, and enjoy a free… Yes, FREE milkshake, brownie, or ice cream cone.
My 5 year old picked our game which was Battle Ship. He picked this because he knew how to play. Apparently they had it at his daycare, but never really talked about rules or anything like that.
When we started playing he realized that it was not the game he thought. His thought process: “I picked the game so we have to play the way I want to play”. Now, my husband and I are very competitive, so that didn’t fly. We started out playing 2 against 2, but quickly we realized that we had the wrong game. So what do you do? Pick a game for everyone? Maybe something a little younger like Connect Four? Umm no! HELLO! We are at Chick-Fil-A. My husband and I sent the kids to the play area and kept playing each other. That’s what you would do too, right? (I won by the way).
I love that they have started doing this. I think there is a BINGO night coming soon. I have my markers ready.
