In the past they have used “Give a day, get a day”, “What would you celebrate”, and other catchy titles. All of their promotional slogans came with something that made making vacation plans to Disney a little more enticing. For example, when they did the “Give a Day, Get a Day”, they asked people to do a day of volunteering. If you did, and had acceptable proof, you received a free day at the parks.
Now, I am a full on Disney Parks nerd. I am proud of it, but if they had Disney Anonymous, I’m afraid I would have to be a member. It’s because of this that when I get wind that Disney is doing something different, I get excited. I am glued to the computer or my Blackberry looking up any and all information that I can find. Yes, I am that person.
This year for 2012, Disney is doing a promotion called “One More Day”, asking the question, “What would you do with one more day?” Disney would like families to take a full 24 hours to create as many memories as they can because on Leap Day, 2012, Disney Parks are celebrating like they never have before! For the first time ever, both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom will be open for 24 hours of wonder and magic starting February 29 at 6:00 a.m.

So, if you are planning on being out in Orlando or Anaheim on Leap Day, I think this would be a great opportunity to take in all you can of Disney. If you can’t take advantage of this promotion, don’t worry. Disney is always doing 25%-40% off on room packages and free dining is up for grabs during many of the busy months. Even if you can’t make it out in February, you need to check it out. It’s truly a magical place.
