The American Museum of Science and Energy is located in Oak Ridge not far from the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge (on the schedule for November). We are excited to visit the American Museum of Science and Energy this week!

Our Plans

When: Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:30

Where: American Museum of Science and Energy

Recommended for You

Who: My family, several others from our community and anyone who’d love an excuse to come to the American Museum of Science and Energy! We’d love to see you there.

Reasons to Visit

There are several reasons why I’m already in love with this museum and can’t wait to see it in person on Friday. First, admission is free for children 5 and under. And it’s only $5 for adults. That’s a fourth the price of the science center in Nashville. Second, they have some fantastic exhibits, including a 100 year history of Boy Scouts, programs for homeschoolers, Moneyville and the photography of Mike Naney. What a lineup. Third, it’s on the closer side of Knoxville for our family which means a slightly shorter drive—always a plus.

If you’re not able to make it, look for our review next week. We’ll tell you all about the cool things we saw and did, if we thought it was worth the price and drive, and anything else that happens along the way.

Have you been there already? What did you think?
