Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops

Last summer, I fell in love with Bass Pro Shops with their Family Summer Camp.

They are at it again this month with their Santa’s Wonderland.  Through December, your family can enjoy hours of fun with a litany of activities.

Our local Mesa store has free pictures with Santa from 10am until 8pm (5pm on Sundays).  Anytime there is a wait of more than a half hour, you can take advantage of the “Bass Pass” and stand in a virtual line while you shop or enjoy other activities in the store.

From 5pm until 7pm on weekdays, and noon to 5pm on weekends there are free craft projects for the kids, with a new craft every week.

During all business hours, there are activities for kids of all ages to enjoy including the laser and soft gun arcades, slot car racing, video games to play, remote control trucks to drive, a carousel to ride, model trains to drive, and snowball fights.

This Sunday, December 11 there is an after hours Local Heroes event for police, fire fighters, paramedics, war veterans, soldiers and military personnel.  There is a 10% discount on most items in the store, a free ornament for the first 100 heroes, and a craft project for the kids while supplies last.  So all you heroes grab your family (and your ID) and enjoy this night just for you.  You could even win a $25 gift card!

I know everyone in my family could find a few items for their wish list at this huge two-story store, and Bass Pro Shops makes shopping fun for the whole family.  With a little divide and conquer strategy you could have a memorable Christmas family time and get some shopping done.  That’s my kind of multitasking!

Online Grocery Shopping

Did you know that you can buy groceries online and have them delivered to your home, just like Chinese food? When it’s raining or the kids are sick or you’re just… over it, that’s a good time to order in.
