Brandy is the fashion-industry blogger behind Baby Blackbird, a blog devoted to kids fashion, handmade toys and clothing, and family life. The mini street style posts are and adorable collection of reader submitted photos of their young fashionistas, but my favorite might be the Mini Celebrity posts where Brandy breaks down celebrity style into a kid-appropriate approximation. Happy Dressing!
This time of year is all about the hustle and bustle. Time for a blog that serves as a nice little break. Take a peek into the life of an American city girl and her life with her handsome Irish Farmer husband. Imen McDonnell shares recipes, photos, Irish culture and family life on her blog, I Married An Irish Farmer.
I first read Kelle Hampton’s blog after a favorite blog of mine, Dig This Chick, mentioned well wishes for the birth of Kelle’s second child. I’ve loved reading Kelle’s blog because she offers a lovely, slow-it-down and savor the moment perspective that I enjoy. Kelle shares beautiful photos and perspectives from her motherhood journey in sunny Florida.
Months ago, a friend treated me to homemade egg rolls. I haven’t stopped thinking about them since. Searching for a egg roll recipe (and the newfound knowledge that what I really wanted was a Spring Roll) led me to White Lotus Cooks, a delicious blog full of asian food, sweet treats, party ideas and family tid-bits.
Check out O My Family - a blog by AllisonO that chronicles life at home with a babe. The first steps, the crazy kitchen clean out (check out her super helpful organization week posts), the family photos and video posts. This is a wonderful “mom blog” that will surely brighten your day.
I have two bloggy loves. Food and photography. For me, when those topics combine, it is pure online bliss. My latest discovery is a la carte kitchen. A trio of New York food photographers (Cathy, Joe & Heather) that share their projects, favorite recipes and foodie views. They each write with such enthusiasm...it makes me want to have them over for a BBQ.
Summer is family travel season and whether you’re packing up for a solo business trip, loading the cooler for a camping weekend or wondering how to keep a toddler occupied on a plane, Traveling Mom is a must-read. Look for product reviews, traveling tips, great deals, destination info and oh, so much more. (My favorite tip: pack a power strip when you travel. GENIUS.)
Mom to six and a graphic designer, The Modern Hive is my place to share things I create or find helpful, beautiful, inspiring, & fun. I am a little bit country and a little bit city. I like making, thrifting, repurposing, DIY and trying to find ways to creatively manage my little hive of buzzing activity.
The Happiest Mom. Meagan Francis is a mom-blogger that writes about parenthood and encourages her readers to be the happiest mom they can be - by letting go a mommy guilt, focusing on the things and needs that make them truly happy and leaving unrealistic expectations behind. Enjoy!
Join me as I chronicle tales of mommyhood in the urban jungle of NYC... I'll be sharing thoughts on my new role and the challenges of balancing bambina, work and whatever semblance of a life I have left. I'm on a quest to find baby/stroller-friendly restaurants & shops, fab websites and, if successful, be a resource for other new city moms out there. Wish me luck!
We’re feeling all sorts of giddy around here. You know, that kind of heart-pounding, excited energy that used to be reserved for kids on Christmas morning...there is a bit of that energy peppering our conversations as we continue to polish the plans for Evo’10.
