This annual event is one of the oldest festivals in the Pacific Northwest and it has something for everybody.
I have volunteered at this event in the past and always enjoy it. Hundreds of artists come to showcase and sell their work and the variety is amazing. You will find everything from paintings and photography to jewelry, glass, and sculpture. There are wooden toys, yard art, and even furniture.
This is a great place to spend a few hours with your little ones. My one-year old loves to observe while she is cruising in her backpack carrier and my four-year old will explore anything new. It also won’t hurt if we visit the food court and grab some ice cream. Even the hubby can’t argue with that.
The Edmonds Arts Festival is held at the Frances Anderson Cultural Center, where the grassy area is transformed into “streets” you can explore, checking out all that the artists have to offer. Personally, I could be there for hours. You will be astounded at what some of these talented people can do.

Every year there is a limited-edition Festival poster and a poster created by a student artist. Having worked at the Festival store in years past, I know how many people collect these and have them hanging in their homes. For art lovers, these are quite popular.
Not only is there art to enjoy, but you will find lots of food, drink, children’s activities, live music, and a wine bar and bistro.
The Festival is 100% volunteer-run and proceeds from the Festival benefit university scholarships, educational grants to schools, community grants to arts and cultural organizations and public art installations.
Come to the Festival to eat, drink, and support the arts!
