Boo at the Zoo – Forth Worth Zoo(Fort Worth)

When: Weekend of October 21st-23rd and October 28th-30th from 12noon – 5pm

What: Halloween décor, events, games, candy, Wild Wonders animal shows and trick or treating. Children are welcome to wear their favorite Halloween costumes and guests are encouraged to submit photos for the Boo at the Zoo Wildlife Costume Photo Contest.

Dallas Arboretum – Family Fun Weekend(Dallas)

When: October  29th – 30th

What: Trick-or-treat  from 12pm – 4pm throughout Cinderella’s Pumpkin Village and seven Fairy Tale  Castles. Cinderella and her fairy tale friends will pass out treats to children  ages 10 and under.  Other  activities to enjoy in Pecan Grove include: Magician 11am-3pm, Petting Zoo 11am-3pm, Face Painting 11am-3pm (line closes at 2pm).

Fall-a-Palooza(Fort Worth)

When: Sunday, October 30th from 5:00 – 9:00 pm

What: Concert by the Katinas, candy, mechanical bull, dunk tank, bounce houses, hay rides, and more!

Fall Festival at Castle Hills(Lewisville)

When: October 22nd from 4pm – 7pm

What: Carnival/relay games, bounce houses, hay rides, face painting, costume trunk (bring your own camera), petting zoo, pumpkin patch stations, and live music from Castle Hill’s own Shelley Laine (starting at 4:30) plus special performances by North Texas Dance Academy (all activities are free). Pumpkins ($2 each). Concessions are available for purchase.

Fall Festival in the Japanese Gardens – Fort Worth Botanic Garden(Fort Worth)

When: October 22nd 10am – 5pm and October 23rd from 11am – 5pm

What: Enjoy traditional Japanese dance, music, martial arts demonstrations, paper making, and tea ceremonies. Sat 10am – 5pm & Sun 11am – 5pm

Fall Family Festival – Preston Royal Village(Dallas)

When: October 22nd from 4pm – 7pm

What: The afternoon activities will include games, drawings, a petting zoo, and live performances including shows by children’s musical entertainer Eddie Coker. Stop by some of your favorite stores for prizes, special treats and fun activities.

Fall Festival with Trick or Treating – Frisco Fire Safety Town(Frisco)

When: October 28th from 6pm – 9pm

What: Come in costume and enjoy the fire clowns, fire engines and trick-or-treating in the mini-town.

Halloween Fest(Bedford)

When: October 29th, 6pm

What: face painting, bounce houses, carnival games, make slime and other arts and crafts. Trick or treat at candy stations.   Concessions will be available. The cost is a canned good per person or a   donation to the Tarrant County Food Bank.

Halloween Kids Fest – Collin Creek Mall(Plano)

When: October 29th from 11am-3pm

What: Kids ages 2-12 are invited to come in costume with their parents and enjoy free family-friendly activities including make & take crafts, face painting, prizes and more! Then be part of the celebration with trick-or-treating from 3pm-4pm in the mall for all to enjoy!

Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo(Dallas)

When: October 27th – 29th from 5pm – 8pm

What: Dress in your favorite costume for this not-so-scary event. Meet Zoohilda and her wacky sisters; travel to the neighborhood of storybook characters; catch the stage show on Cat Green; find serpents, newts, and toads in the reptile building; and trick-or-treat around ZooNorth and the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo. End the night with a backward spin on the Haunted Carousel.

Halloween Sleepover at Museum of Nature and Science(Dallas)

When: October 28th – 29th. Check-in is at 7pm on Friday; Activities begin at 7:30; Release Saturday morning at 9:30 am.

What: Ghosts and goblins… dinosaurs and explosions – This Halloween Party has it all! Join us for a frighteningly fun night at the Museum of Nature & Science. Overnight guests can compete in our costume contest, follow a scavenger hunt through darkened exhibit halls and get a little gross with eyeball dissections! After a night of thrills and chills, you’ll get a wake up call with a screening of the IMAX® film, Sharks!

What: A non-scary, safe, family friendly evening of treats, community & fun. Special event admission for the night is $6 for adults & $8 for children 1 year and up. Zoo will close at 4pm and reopen at 6:00-8:00 pm (last tickets sold @ 7:30pm) for Zoo Boo.
