For Christmas my youngest son asked Santa (aka Grandpa) for a lizard. So of coarse Grandpa obliged and are now proud parents (or I guess grandparents) of a bearded dragon, that our 2 1/2 year old named “Butt”. Yes, Butt. I thought he was trying to say “Bud”, but he quickly corrected me by enunciating the “t” sound when he repeated himself.
Butt has been a fascinating addition to our family and as a result of the new member we have been nurturing our youngest interest in reptiles. I received a text from Grandpa and this weekend at the Arlington Convention Center will be the North American Reptile Breeders Conference.
The trade show floor opens to the public on this Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm. There will be 50+ vendors for everything reptile and I’m sure plenty of reptilian critters.
Admission is $15/adult, $8 for children 5-12, free under 5 years old. You can purchase tickets online or if you purchase tickets at the door take advantage of their $2 off adult admission coupon. Come check it out. We will be there this weekend and stay tuned for pictures and my review.
