They are a family farm that has tons of history and even more going on still. They are open from the beginning of October for the Pumpkin and Chili Festival until May or June, after the Peach Festival is over and it gets too hot. Schnepf Farms always has their Country Store open as well as the petting zoo, multiple playgrounds, museum, and U-Pick gardens.
We have gone to the Peach Festival in years past, it’s fun as well as tasty! These pictures were from two years ago- I can’t believe how small my son was and how much he has grown. I’m sure I will be posting more pictures to Instagram when we go to the peach festival this year, if you follow there or on Twitter you can be sure to see some of the fun we will be having.
During the Peach Festival you can expect to be able to go on a Hay Ride out to the different orchards to be able to pick peaches. They also have ones that are already picked for sale. They bake some delicious peach pies, peach cinnamon rolls and plenty of more peachy products. They have peach samples available as well.
In the past they have had vendors out at the peach festival, and it is always fun to see the different crafts and products available from local small businesses.
Their website also mentions that they will have live music during the Peach Festival as well. It’s always fun to hang out and listen to great music.
Dates: May 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 2014
During the festival the carousel and the train rides will be open. The website didn’t mention if the other rides will be open but you can keep up to date with what is going on at Schnepf Farm by subscribing to their Facebook feed.
We have been going to Schnepf Farm for years and a few weeks ago was the first time that I walked around in their museum. It was really interesting! It was neat to see what this area used to be like before all of the housing developments came in.
We had a great time in years past at the Peach Festival, and I hope you enjoy it too! For Official details check out the Schnepf Farms website.
