First there’s the GRAPEVINE GRAPEFEST…then you need to clean the grapes off your feet and put on your dirndl for the 25th annual ADDISON OKTOBERFEST, Sept 20-23!
Named one of the country’s most authentic Oktoberfest celebrations by Forbes and USA Today, Addison Oktoberfest features four days of family-oriented entertainment. German entertainers in authentic costumes perform traditional Bavarian folk dances, schuhplattling, oompah music, sing-a-longs, yodels and more. A special “Oktoberfest” Spaten Bier is served along with several types of German sausage, sauerkraut, strudel, giant pretzels and more.

One of the best parts is the free admission all day Thursday, so there is no reason why you wouldn’t make this an opportunity to enjoy some outdoor time with your kids, the whole family or maybe just with the girls. Another best part is winning a chance to attend the original – Oktoberfest that is in MUNICH! They are giving away a free trip to next year’s Oktoberfest, you just have to enter here.
Fun features for the kids include:
- Carnival rides
- Family Fun Zone
- Live Entertainment with authentic Bavarian musicians and dancers
- Great Food (my favorite part of this event)
- Arts & Crafts
