St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and I can’t think of a better time to introduce you to a new children’s book series, The Search for The Hidden Clover. They’re like a treasure trove full of gems that your kids will love (yes, that’s a little play on words for the green holiday).

Author and illustrator, Julia Heckathorn, has done an incredible job bringing “joy and wonder to the hearts of children of all ages through the knowledge and experience of our world and the fascinating creatures in it.” Each page provides a different interactive experience that appeals to kids of all ages. From finding clovers and other games to little snippets of knowledge (who knew there are over 60 types of kangaroo living in Australia?) to adventures in foreign lands, these pages pack a lot of fun.

My 7 year old daughter was completely engrossed in the games as we read the first two books of The Search for The Hidden Clover series, Kangaroo Island and Redwood Forest. Those clovers are harder to find than you think, which is why she challenged me on who could find them first. I won’t say who won that one.🙂

As a parent, I love the fact that these books are hardbacks to endure the handling of kids. I also love the cartoon looking characters, Jason and Julia, that look like they are peeking in on scenes around the world. Of course, the educational side of the books is a double extra bonus.

Because of The Hidden Clover team’s commitment to conservation, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their books, goes to helping save the quickly disappearing three-toed Pygmy sloths. There’s only 300 left in the world! They also offer an outreach program to schools, parks, museums, retailers, and child care facilities. Email them for more info on their outreach program or to schedule an event.

These books are like a sweet gem that you don’t want to miss out on! Buy your copies here or on Amazon!
