We started taking our little ones when they were young. Too young to think that hiking sucks!! They love finding sticks, looking for bugs, collecting rocks, and feeling the accomplishment when you get to the top! We have made a tradition of hiking almost ever week:) in the summer. We start off with short hikes and by October have worked up to some pretty big ones.
Ensign Peak is one of those hikes that’s super easy, but one that the kids still feel that sense of accomplishment.
We followed these up. That would have been fun to bring balloons for my little ones to let go at the top. Maybe write a wish on them:)
What I like about this hike is getting to see an AMAZING view of the mountains. Our usual hikes give us great views of the valley, but this was a neat change.
And the best part of the hike…hard core par core!
I hope you enjoy being outside with your family:)
