Earth Day is April 22 and my next couple of posts will have a few fun ideas to celebrate and inspire you not just that day, but all year long. Today’s post is about two unique party themes that I so adore because not only are they eco-fab, but what a great idea to “recycle” all of your recyclables by using them as birthday decor.
What toddler doesn’t love playing with cardboard boxes? One year old Reid got to celebrate with his friends at this wonderful party featured on On To Baby. From bubblewrap hopscotch, and using lots of paper products, to a cardboard play yard filled with boxes that were transformed in rocket ships and trains, so much fun and eco-friendly ideas.
This Rock N Roll Bash from Warm Chocolate features a drum set made from boxes and an amp repurposed from a nightstand. And you can’t miss those cardboard guitars.
Sabrina from Hello! Lucky throws a box bonanza for her twin boys complete with a castle, gift boxes, newspaper hats and a cake frosted to look like cardboard.
BellaGrey’s Trash Bash featured on The Hostess Blog is such a hoot…she made a wreath with clean food bottles, covered tables with newspaper and guests even took home a recyclable book from Waste Management. And most of her items go straight into recycling after the party’s over.
Talking trash is exactly what they did at Cakes Likes A Party‘ Trash Bash. Guests picked up trash with picker-uppers, nibbled on trash truck cookies and lots of JUNK food and played in trash cans.
Southern Belle’s Charm is full of trashy details…how cute are those fly cakepops, trash can party favors and Dirty Diaper Game?
