Cinco de Mayo Celebrations in DFW
Cinco de Mayo or “the fifth of May” is a celebration of the defeat of the French by the Mexican Army at the Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. Celebrations in the DFW area include parties and festivals with dancing, music, delicious food and, of course, margaritas!
The Cinco de Mayo Big Parade & Festival/Quinceañera Dinner & Dance is one of the largest in North Texas. The streets of downtown Dallas host thousands of visitors at the annual parade and cultural festival along Jefferson Avenue between Cumberland and Vernon Streets in front of Casa Guanajuato.
