Christmas Capital of Texas

Grapevine, dubbed the “Christmas Capital of Texas”, should be on your list to visit during the holidays.

Along Main street in historic downtown Grapevine, you’ll find decorations, twinkling Christmas lights, and stores. We had such a good time the evening we were out (it probably helped that we didn’t need a jacket as opposed to last year’s chilly weather and that we found good parking).

As we walked, we discovered (along with a handful of other tourists) the Carol Of Lights and Light Show Spectacular (which included the Town Square’s gazebo, three arches and trees). The free dancing lights complemented the tunes of popular Christmas carols like Charlie Brown, the Grinch and Frosty the Snowman. In fact, I caught myself singing along with the kiddos.

The show plays every night through January 8th from 6 pm – 11 pm.  Fa-la-la-la-la!
