This year’s Celebration Crossing at the Indiana State Museum has many of the familiar traditions but also some new additions to compliment the exhibit. We’ve been going to Celebration Crossing for years and it is definitely on our must-do list during the holidays. With highlights all over the museum, it provides plenty for your family to experience. Celebration Crossing is open now through December 31, 2015. Admission to Celebration Crossing is included in museum admission.

One of my favorite things about Celebration Crossing is that the crowds are light so my family has the time to really relax and enjoy the good times. Santa’s house is located in the grand hall. Visiting Santa in his house is perfectly cozy and magical. If your kids get antsy waiting in line, there are tables nearby to color or to write letters to Santa. Plus all season, there will be musical performances right in Santa’s “front yard”.

Celebration Crossing train is located on the 4th floor and it is just the right size for kids. Get your ticket stamped and climb aboard. If your kids are anything like mine, they’ll be riding it over and over again. It’s not a problem since the line goes quickly!

Don’t forget to visit Santa’s Playground where there are loads of different activities for children of all ages. It’s also a great place for parents to sit down for a bit and relax. It’s located on level 2.

Also new this year is a Pop-Up Arcade featuring more than 20 video games! This is a great attraction for teens and teenagers at heart. It brings back some serious nostalgia but also provides some “big kid fun” for your family. Admission to the arcade is $7 for museum members or with general admission. It is $10 without museum admission.
