Arizona Things to Do April 2013

Arizona Things to Do April 2013

There are so many different things to do this time of year that it’s hard to put everything in this space, but I promise to try!  Here are some of this month’s top things to do with a family:

2013 Phoenix Gluten-Free Expo -April 13th.  10-3 pm.  Double Tree Resort in Scottsdale.  I attended this event last year and this is amazing for those who eat gluten-free.  All kinds of restaurants, stores, bakeries, speakers, books, and more available.  Many, many booths gave samples or full size products to try at home.  So worth the price!

Earth Day Arizona -April 22nd.  11-1:30 pm Cesar Chavez Plaza in downtown Phoenix.   There will be giveaways, recycling training and all different kinds of activities.

AZ BBQ Festival  -April 20th from 11 -9 pm.  Salt River Fields.  There will be Redneck games, A kids Zone, BBQ tasting, cooking demos and much more.

10th Annual Polish Festival -April 13-14th.  The event will host authentic Polish food, activities for kids, live entertainment and more.

Special Olympics Arizona Summer Games -April 25th-27th.  Mesa Community College.   The events will include kayaking, tennis, athletics, and more.  You can volunteer or support the athletes by attending.

City of Chandler Family Bike Ride -April 13th.  Families are encouraged to pre-register to obtain their free shirt.  It’s a 7.4 mile ride along the Paseo canal.

Maricopa County Fair -April 10-14th.  There are all types of carnival rides, vendors, food, and many activities for all ages and levels of children.

Maricopa County Home Show -April 26-28th.  In addition to showcasing remodeling tips, there are classes for kids, hands on activities, vendors, food, exhibits, and more.
