French Baby Names You’ll Want To Steal

The French get a lot of things right.

Baguettes, bread in general, dessert, lack of preservatives… basically all food. The French pretty much own the food scene, right? Have you seen Julie and Julia? That’s what I’m basing my position off of since I’ve never actually been to France myself, but I digress.

I guess we should go ahead and admit additional French superiority on accents, museums, art, architecture, fashion, curated gardens, and you know, pastoral countryside too. There’s also the French Riviera which, from what I understand, is full of nude beaches and you KNOW I’m down for that.

Even French baby names are better than whatever we’ve been sticking our kids with here in the United States. I’d even say sophisticated, but I’m probably not the best judge of that. I’m from Wyoming, sophisticated is using cloth napkins for dinner instead of paper towels.

All I know is that I’ll take any of these French baby names spotted on Pop Sugar over most American baby names any day of the week. Viva la France!

Maybe you’ve got impeccable taste and have already used one or more of these names for your kids. For instance, a friend of mine named her daughter Amelie so I guess she’s ahead of the curve. Spot yours on the list below? Let’s hear it!

Now bring me a baguette and let’s hit the Louvre…
