One of my favorite winter scenes is curled up on the couch by the fire, knitting needles in hand.  Total bliss…  Check out my top 10 winter knits you should consider making during these cold months.

Man Hat by Haven Leavitt ~ I’ve made this hat many times for a gift and the recipients all love it!  I love using Paton’s Shetland Chunky Tweed yarn.  I cast on 72 stitches.  I think it would be too small otherwise.

Ruffle Scarf by Suzie Blackman ~ I love the shape of this scarf!

Cotton Booties by Bernat ~ These booties knit up super fast.  It’s a great time to knit several for future baby gifts.

Mary Jane Booties by Lucie Sinkler ~ For a more feminine baby bootie, these are perfect.  They are just too adorable!

Sock Monkeys by Patons ~ Because no kid can have too many stuffies. 🙂

Fantasy Naturale Baby Cardigan by JoAnn Turcotte ~ This sweater is simple yet lovely.  I love the finished look of it!  The original pattern only has one button so I added a couple more.

Phoebe Mouse & Sweater by Joanna Johnson ~ Hands down my favorite knits ever are Phoebe Mouse with the matching sweaters.  You can find the patterns in the sweet book, Phoebe’s Sweater by Joanna Johnson.  My daughter chooses to wear her sweater rather than her coat when it’s cold outside!  Joanna Johnson also has a second book out, Freddie’s Blanket with another beautiful story and more stunning knits.

Seamless Heart by Sarloz/Sara L ~ Valentine’s Day is right around the corner!  These little hearts are quick and easy and look perfect tied to a little Valentine’s gift.

Honeycomb Throw by Coats & Clark ~ This was a Christmas gift for my daughter.  I love the honeycomb pattern.  It was definitely easier than it looks.

I’ve knit all of these projects at one time or another (all photos are mine), so they have definitely been tested!  Let me know in the comments section what your favorite knitting project is!
