For those who know me, I’m a vampire kind of girl. Let me clarify. I am in love with the Twilight series. In fact, I’m counting down the days until Breaking Dawn. And, I can’t get enough of the Sookie Stackhouse book series, HBO’s True Blood, Meg Cabot’s Insatiable series, and CW’s Vampire Diaries. So, when a friend of mine urged me to start watching AMC’s The Walking Dead, the zombies were foreign to me.
Yet, I found myself watching my DVR’d episodes in the confines of my bedroom, scared silly. In my opinion, The Walking Dead is so scary that I have to mentally prepare myself prior to watching the addictive series. Last week was no different. However, with the passing away of one of the main characters, I found myself weeping. Yes, weeping!
If you haven’t checked out The Walking Dead, I highly recommend it. And, if you would like more interaction with zombies, then maybe this Saturday’s (November 10th) The Dead Man’s Dash is for you. It’ll be held at DFW’s Adventure Park in Roanoke and from the website’s description, you’ll be “running for your life from a horde of zombies” (way too scary for me!). Though I’m intrigued, I think I’ll pass. I would scream myself silly with zombies trying to get the flags from my life belt. Please click here to visit the event organizer’s website.
