For the last two weeks, I've been telling you about how a few weeks ago I packed my bag and headed down to Los Angeles, courtesy of 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation to preview their new movie The Croods and tour the DreamWorks Animation campus.
Once we arrived at the DreamWorks Animation campus and hopped off of our shuttle bus, we were handed 3D glasses and escorted into a private movie theatre. I love going to the movies, but you know how your feet can stick to the floor and the thought of a mouse in the theatre MIGHT run through your head? I can assure you that none of that is happening in the DreamWorks theatre.
We heard briefly from the directors of the movie and then settled in to watch The Croods. And let me tell you, it was just as amazing as the seats in the DreamWorks Animation theatre.
The world's first modern family includes the following players...
Eep - The teenage daughter of the family convinced that there is much more to life outside the family cave.
Grug - A hard-working, extremely protective father who puts himself in charge of keeping his family safe.
Ugga - Grug's wife, Eep's mom and a strong cave mom raising her family.

Thunk - The younger (and slightly nervous) brother in the family.
Gran - Ugga's mother, Grug's mother-in-law and the oldest member of the family.
Sandy - The wild baby of the family who can best be described as feral.
Guy - A teenage boy who opens the eyes of the Crood family as he exposes them to new ideas and a new way of living.
Belt - Guy's adorable little pet.
This family goes through some pretty tough times. After all, the cave days were not exactly easy. But throughout the movie, they stick together, drive each other crazy, have fun together and love each other no matter what, which really is a pretty good message to send to our own kids, wouldn't you say?
Don't miss it! This modern cave family is rolling into theaters on March 22 and featuring the voices of Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman.
