Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas

This holiday season, my most anticipated movie of the year was released – Les Miserables.

I love the story and the music.  I’ve seen the musical in San Francisco, and it was fantastic.  From the time I first saw a trailer for the latest movie version, I have been anxiously awaiting its release. I wanted the whole experience to be amazing!  So I talked my husband into trying out the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Del Mar.  Have you been?  This was our first time there.  It’s like watching movies in First Class!

Going to the movies is a bit pricey, and this theater costs even more.  But it was worth the extra money for the comfort and service.  The leather recliners are so comfortable.  And the middle arm rest can raise up so you can snuggle up with your hunny while watching the movie.  Instead of standing in concession lines for hot dogs, popcorn, candy or soda, you can order appetizers, meals or divine desserts. Care for some sushi while you watch the movie? How about a chicken caesar panini? Chocolate Godiva Cheesecake? Yes, please!  And they bring it right to your seat.  I’ll be honest; I felt a little spoiled!  The lobby has a casual dining area and bar if you want to show up early to your movie and eat beforehand.

We wondered if the servers walking around would be distracting, but they are quite professional and really weren’t a distraction.  Certain theaters at certain times serve alcohol as well, if interested.  Be sure to get online to purchase tickets and reserve your seat(s) for a movie you are excited to see.  This makes a great night out with hubby! At almost $20 a ticket, the price is a bit steep for me to see every movie here, but I will definitely be back for movies I’m really excited to see, or when we just need a night away with some extra pampering.  (Matinees are closer to $15 a ticket). Go spoil yourself!
