About Kerry McDonald
Kerry McDonald is an education policy writer and author of the new book, Unschooled: Raising Curious, Well-Educated Children Outside the Conventional Classroom (Chicago Review Press, 2019). Her articles have appeared at Forbes, Newsweek, NPR, Reason, Education Next, City Journal, The Daily Caller, and Natural Mother Magazine, among others. Kerry is a Senior Education Fellow at the Foundation for Economic Education and a Board member at the Alliance for Self-Directed Education. She has a B.A. in economics from Bowdoin College and a graduate degree in education policy from Harvard University. Kerry lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and four children.
