When Steve Jobs passed away last October, I felt an unexpected sadness at the loss of a man I had never met that went beyond my typical overly-sentimental reaction when a person of note dies. I felt a great debt to him as his life’s work and creations ultimately made it possible for me to be home with my kids and create a livelihood for myself that I had never imagined possible. With the purchase of my MacBook Pro and my iPhone, I was able to work on the go, from coffee shops and tot lots, at nights and early mornings, whenever, wherever I could. I discovered a variety of opportunities to make money all because my technology allowed me to work flexible hours and from random locations.

Now, thanks to instant, wireless technology, people all over the world are able to make money from home, doing things they had never imagined. One company I have turned to in the past year when looking for extra income is an online company called FlexJobs. It’s an online job service site that focuses on finding a flexible job, including work from home positions, part-time hours, contract jobs and more.

One of the things I love about it is that each job posting is researched and reviewed by FlexJobs’ staff to avoid any scams, ads or too-good-to-be-true offers. FlexJobs’ researchers guarantee each job is a legitimate position from a reputable company. The site also offers resume tips, skills testing, and job finding tips.

For TodaysMama readers, FlexJobs is offering a FREE 3 month membership. To enter, just tell me your DREAM JOB in the comments.

Giveaway ends Sunday, April 29th at 11:59 PM PST and the winner will be announced on Monday, April 30th.

This content is CLOSED. Congratulations to the winner, Carolyn W!

Steve Jobs Died Today

Steve Jobs died today. My little family gathered around our computer and watched this video on CNN. My husband and I both were glossy eyed. I obviously don't know Steve Jobs personally, but he's been an inspiration to me.
