Tom’s of Maine Natural Products

Several years ago, I made an important discovery.

I discovered that LOTS of toothpaste contains artificial sweeteners.  Why is this important, you may ask?  Well, I’m allergic to artificial sweeteners.  It was a relief to know that the reason I felt nauseous every time I brushed was because of that little chemical. That’s when I started using Tom’s of Maine toothpaste.  Artificial sweetener free, I’ve used it everyday for the past 10 years.  My favorite is the cavity protection with baking soda peppermint toothpaste.  The children’s silly strawberry toothpaste and the exfoliating natural beauty bar in apricot are close seconds.

Our Stewardship Model Standards for Natural, Sustainable, and Responsible guide our ingredient selection and formulation development.

I love their standard for their products being natural, sustainable, and responsible, and that every decision they make is first tested among these standards.  It reminds me that I’m buying a product that is good for me and my family.

n our eyes, spreading goodness is always worthwhile, big or small. We’re proud to help organizations and individuals create positive change every day.

I always love hearing of companies that make it a priority to give back in some way.  Tom’s of Maine encourages their employees to use 5% of their paid time volunteering at non-profits of their choice.  They also donate 10% of their pre-tax profits to charitable organizations supporting the environment, human needs, the arts, and education.  I love knowing that my purchase of great natural products from Tom’s of Maine is also a part of something bigger, something that is helping others.

I recently reviewed several products from Tom’s of MaineSimply White Toothpaste, the Exfoliating Beauty Bar, and the Children’s Silly Strawberry Toothpaste.  Did you know that the Simply White Toothpaste is the only natural toothpaste to earn the ADA seal?  I love the Silly Strawberry because it doesn’t have that spicy minty taste that many kids turn their noses at, AND it’s free from dyes, sweeteners, and flavors.
