Lots of good stuff on the world wide web and lots of fun at our house. We felt the big spring tease here and promptly rushed out to buy sunglasses.
We’re still working on technique…
Awesome Stuff from Moms…
Life lessons can be found everywhere…especially while leaping WAY outside your comfort zone to climb an active volcano. (Way to go, Jyl!)
Inspiration is readily available too – Brene Brown shares what is inspiring her. (Check out that tomato!)
Worried that the time you spend away from your kiddo working or what-not is having a negative effect – check out this post from Soho Parenting that suggests its the mood, not the amount of time you need to keep an eye on.
You may have noticed a few of your favorite bloggers busting out their Might Life Lists (I’m looking at YOU Karen Walrond). Now Maggie Mason, THE Mighty Girl is rolling out Mighty Events. I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed that a Mighty Social will cruise through SLC at some point.
File this under “Info I Wish I Had YEARS Ago”. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, Rookie Moms isn’t just for rookies.
Gabrielle Blair is about to welcome baby number six into her family. She rolled out some great info about preparing for a new babe, by category: Layette, Mom’s Needs, Sleeping, Bathing/Diapering, Feeding.
Being a work-at-home-mom means that most elements of my life are bouncing around the walls of my 1200 square foot home. I have routines, systems, traditions but I often wonder how is everyone else doing it. I love it when a blogger gives readers a peek at the day to day happenings in their life. Here are a few to treasure…
Erin Loechner, the blogger behind Design For Mankind features The Dailies – a play-by-play in pictures and words of the life of an artist.
A Day in the Life from Nicole Balch of Making It Lovely. We share similar schedules…only she looks super fab. Me – not so much. Comforting nonetheless.
Because the flashback is ADORABLE, the brownie colors remind me of my own high school days (Go Lancers!) and, I too, once turned a brownie into toothpaste with “mint” extract.
Rachael turned me onto these waffles on Chow. I can get excited about anything with that includes browned butter. (Dear family members, I would give my right arm for a waffle iron. My birthday is in two weeks. Ponder how those two statements could joyfully marry.)
Know a picky eater? Jenna from Food With Kid Appeal is looking for recovering picky eaters as she does her part in the food revolution. (Confession time: I lived on cheese quesadillas until I was…oh…17.)
thredUP may be the coolest thing I’ve see this month – it’s an online clothing swap that boggles the mind with how easy it is. Think Facebook meets thrifting, but for kid’s clothes. Right now thredUP is invite only, but you can get started now, here.
or show some of your own “grow your own” pride with the veggie tees.
(Now I’m wishing that I’d nicknamed my girl “Lil’ Beet” instead of calling her “Sweet Potato”.)
An inspiring free mini print from Heather of the Modern Hive. (Thanks, Heather…I needed this.)
I want an iPad and whenever I want something more costly than a bag of gummi bears I take my sweet time getting to know the ins and outs. Which is why I’ve been “window shopping” for iPad cases (that sucker looks slippery and I am clumsy) and this is the coolest case I’ve seen.
Last, but certainly not least, Babyccino shares the iPhone app that saved my bacon with my uncooperative toddler this month.
