Memorial Day: Teaching Our Kids to Remember

Take time to celebrate Memorial Day, teaching your kids the real meaning and to honor the service men and women who've served our country.

Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer for most families. Road trips and barbeques are a great way to spend the weekend, but there's more to it than that.

We try teaching our kids to remember the service men and women who have fought to defend our country. We also take time to remember family members who are no longer with us. Some years we get to a graveside and sometimes we can manage a dinner-time discussion.

Memorial Day

Don't miss the opportunity to build patriotic feelings of honor, integrity and service in your kids. Taking time to reflect and remember is just one way to show our respect. To all those with family members who have served our country, the Johnson family says, Thank You!
