Holiday Gift Guide: For Toddlers
I love toddlers and I especially love all the adorable toys for them to develop their imaginations. That's why this gift guide for toddlers was so much fun to assemble. Who doesn't love to see their little faces light up with surprise and delight?
Keep your toddler occupied for hours (okay, almost an entire hour) with just your fingers. Add some puppets to the ends of those fingers and you've got storytime on the go. Sets include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Robots, Cinderella, animals of all shapes and kinds (jungle, deep sea, ocean, farm, pets, etc.)
Kids are going to be noisy no matter what you do. May as well embrace it and give them a drum full of sweet musical instruments and let their acoustic urges run free. This Parum Pum Pum Drum is a favorite at my house—well designed, adorable and musical without sounding irritating. My husband might disagree.
These soft blocks have been a favorite of both of my kids. Each block is textured and many have hidden bells and whistles that young kids love. I like that they are soft enough for rambunctious play (no tears if one of these conks you in the head) and you can even toss them in the washer when they get dirty.
One of the challenges for toddlers is finding safe toys, like cars and trains, since so many commercially available toys aren't meant for kids younger than 3-years-old. Here's one of my favorite toddler cars.

Toddlers are always delighted by pull toys: little creatures they can lead with a string as they run around the house. And this Locolino Pushing Toy from Haba is as adorable as it gets.
Remember how great Richard Scarry books were? Well, they still are!
