My children are lucky to have her, as she is the ultimate “fun finding” auntie. She’s saved me on more than one occasion when I was looking for something unique to keep the kids entertained on a slow weekend.
In fact, she just turned me on to one of the best websites, a website where every activity they advertise is free (or pretty near free, like $3, for example). It’s called FunCheap. At FunCheap, you can search for free weekly family friendly activities.
Some events they’ve advertised recently included a corn dog festival and a bubble party at Kezar stadium (I hope that one comes around again soon. My son would love it. I can think of a few other dozen kids who would enjoy it, too). Upcoming advertised events include free admission days at the Bay Area Discovery Museum and SF Zoo, as well as the Science of Color Nightlife at the CA Academy of Sciences. Events are added all the time so you can either check the website regularly or get on their email list to receive information. Even add an event of your own there if you know of a free and fun event happening in your community.
