When my son opened his first LEGO set and started his fascination with building, I was happy to have an excuse to join in, bringing me back to my childhood. What if we never stopped building and let our imaginations grow as we grew?
Brickworld began in 2007 with one exposition and has grown to hold 4 annual events including a stop in Indianapolis. Brickworld began with the idea of collaborating together with friends and to meet with new friends to share in the love of building LEGO bricks into all different types of creations. The Brickworld motto (Share – Learn – Explore – Discover) perfectly encapsulates the intent of this awesome event. LEGO brick enthusiasts of all ages are invited to do just that at Brickworld Indy on March 14 and 15, 2015 at the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hours are 10 AM – 8 PM on Saturday and 10 AM – 5 PM on Sunday.
You’ll find 45,000 square feet full of amazing creations built from LEGO bricks by local builders. There will be activities such as play and build areas with LEGO and DUPLO bricks and robot battles. The entire family will love to see the combination of engineering and art in the displays which include castles, space stations, replicas of famous buildings and even recreations of famous paintings. Various vendors will also be there selling LEGO sets, mini-figures, and accessories.
