When students of the Connecticut tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary return back to school next January, it will be in a different building. Parent-volunteers are working to decorate it as a winter wonderland with as many unique snowflakes as possible. The National PTA is encouraging students to contribute to this project by making creative snowflakes and sending them to the Connecticut PTSA by January 13, 2012.

Your family can send snowflakes and donations to:

My mother has always told me, when you don ‘t know what to do for someone–just do something. I don’t know what to do. So I am making snowflakes. And my 12 year old, who was crying last night, will make one too. And we will cry again together, and hug the kindergartener who lives in our house, and pray for those who are suffering.
