Opening Night Ignite
evo’11 is kicking off with Ignite! “Enlighten us, but make it quick” is the slogan of Ignite—a community event celebrating the passion and creativity of geek culture, sponsored by O’Reilly media. Ignite events showcase a series of speakers who, in rapid succession, give 5-minute talks on whatever ignites their passion.
Want to know more about Ignite? Check out IgniteShow.com for videos and events in your neck of the woods!
Our Ignite speakers include evo’10 attendees. We’ll hear about their adventures, passion and evolution in the last year. We are excited to have this amazing group of peeps speaking at evo conference Ignite!

evo'11 Keynote Speakers
Me Ra Koh
Talking adventure and big dreams! “I read once that to be an artist is one thing, but to live an artistic life is another. Brian and I took this statement as a call to create an artistic life with our marriage, kids and business. This last February, we put our dreaming to the test. We packed two backpacks, our camera gear, the kids' home-school books, and rented a house in the jungles of southern Thailand for two months. There were no cars, no roads, but there was WiFi to keep our business running. And there were monkeys - sometimes forty monkeys ransacking our kitchen at once.”
Jon Sinclair and Andrea Wishom
They’re back! Everywhere we went, we heard you talk about their keynote last year. For those of you who weren’t there, Jon (the VP of Business Development at HARPO) and Andrea (a Senior Supervising Producer at the Oprah Show for 19 years) shared how they were changing with social media. We want to hear about what changed since evo’10, how the last season of the Oprah show went and of course, in the spirit of evolution, what’s next!
We’re posting up speaker info as fast as we get their photos in! We’ve got an amazing lineup and agenda...check it out! Be sure to follow @evoconf on Twitter and like us on Facebook to stay current on announcements about individual speakers. We've even got another keynote up our sleeve so stay tuned!
