Really Gisele Bündchen?

Some of Gisele's comments on childbirth might be described as a little.....judgmental. Can't we all just be nice to each other?

Gisele Bündchen is the highest paid model in the world and estimated to be worth $250 million. She has two children with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. And according to this Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition dream, childbirth does not hurt in the slightest.

Home birth, hospital birth, water birth, epidural birth, HypnoBirth, WHATEVER type of birth, I don't know how many women would say that it doesn't hurt in the slightest. At all?

I wonder if I did it wrong?

Here are some of Gisele's other statements about motherhood:

"There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

"I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals."

"The second day, I was walking, I was washing dishes, I was making pancakes in the kitchen."

Gisele, you're gorgeous. But somewhere, you just made a 5'4" regular women who just had a baby and is having a hard time breastfeeding feel terrible. She's exhausted, she has a lot of baby weight to lose, she's uncomfortable and sitting on an inflatable donut flipping through People magazine in a kitchen with dishes in the sink, and she's wondering what she's doing wrong.

That's not the nicest.

Being a mom is hard work. And it's hard work no matter how easy or challenging your labor was, regardless of how much money you have, what you ate when you were pregnant and how fast you were back on your feet after childbirth.

Support each other. We're all in it together, and even babies who effortlessly slide right out eventually turn into toddlers who throw down on a sidewalk over the wrong color sippy cup. And guess who will understand and not judge when they walk by your little screamer? Other moms.

Be kind.

Be Nice
